Flow over Force - why flow is a necessity not a nice-to have

Women in Tech community newsletter #14

We’ve been taught that the only way forward is to push.
To keep going. To stay busy.
To hustle our way into clarity.

But your clarity lives in the pause.
Your truth speaks in the quiet.
Your flow returns when you stop forcing.

Flow isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing with rhythm.
With trust. With connection.

Flow is about timing - not time.
It’s about remembering your own rhythm.
Your body’s. Your energy’s. Your soul’s.

We’ve lost our rhythm running after time, chasing deadlines.
Moving like clockwork.
And we wonder why we’re so tired.
Why rest feels like guilt.
Why effort feels like survival.

But you are not a machine.
You are a woman. A cyclical being.
Like nature, you are meant to rise and rest.
To move and pause.
To bloom and retreat.

It’s time to stop forcing.
It’s time to trust your own flow.

You can’t hear your inner voice when you’re always in motion.
It’s normal to feel lost when you're moving at a speed that doesn’t let you check in with yourself.

And now, with AI, the pressure has only increased.
We're expected to be even faster. More efficient. Constantly updated.
We’re outsourcing everything just to keep up - but losing touch with the joy of creating, the depth of thinking, the satisfaction of slow work.

We tick off boxes but feel disconnected from impact.
We chase the end of the day, the week, the month - but lose sight of what we’re really here for.

Our brains are overstimulated and hooked on dopamine.
Pace has replaced presence.
Speed has overtaken rhythm.

We’re advancing rapidly in the digital world - but falling behind in our inner world.
Technology evolves, but so must the way we care for ourselves.

At what cost are we maintaining this pace? And is it really taking us where we want to go?

We were made for rhythm, not just relentless forward motion.

If you’re tired of constantly doing - and ready to reconnect with your own rhythm, your inner voice, your calm…

I invite you to join Flow Over Force - my free 4-week course - is an invitation to return to your rhythm.
Reconnect to your inner voice.
And realign.

  • How to stay madly in love during conflict with your partner | This Tantric Life with Layla Martin - Podcast
I listened to this podcast this morning and just love the brutal honesty of how Layla Martin shares how she sometimes feels when in conflict with her partner. It made me see and gave me words for how I behave during conflict with my partner - admittedly not always in a way I am proud of, and while I am aware it’s still a struggle to change it since conflict is often driven by subconscious behavior. So the art is to keep the conscious mind online when things become hairy. My partner and me went away for the weekend. One goal was to make a decision consciously and with dedicated time and focus. In one of our discussions I got very upset and was no longer able to be curious and open about his perspective and intention - so this podcast just was the perfect mirror where I can keep working on myself 😜.

  • Flow is not just about how much we do, it’s also about how we do it | Me - Video

I recorded a video sharing one of my experiences when I switched from force to letting go and more flow. I also talk about why flow is not just a nice-to-have but a necessity, how it helps us really move the needle with what we do and how we can get back into it, starting with even small adjustments.
